The story behind the Howlin' Heat
The Howlin' Heat model arrived in 2016 as a special addition to the core Mainline series. It belongs to the Street Beasts assortment which was known for its wild animal-inspired designs and aggressive styling features like sharp teeth and fangs on the front bumper. This specific release holds significant interest because it carries Treasure Hunt status, marking it with a small flame logo that indicates higher rarity compared to standard retail cars. Designer Bryan Benedict created this 1/64 scale vehicle using an orange base material to support the sculpted details. The unique paint application and special designation make it a distinct find for collectors who hunt for these limited versions in regular blind bags.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast model features a metalflake olive green body with bold flame graphics that look like they are roaring from the hood. The design includes an orange base to highlight its fanged front end and sculpted curves. Depending on the specific manufacturing batch, collectors may see variations in window finishes including unpainted plastic or shiny ZAMAC material. The 1/64 scale size fits easily into display cases while offering enough detail to show off its Street Beasts theme clearly.
