The story behind the Ford Falcon Race Car
The Ford Falcon Race Car stands out as a unique piece from the Themed Automotive assortment in 2017. Designed by Kevin Cao for the Forza Motorsport series, this model brings virtual racing excitement to your real-world shelf. It features distinct Xbox branding that celebrates Microsoft's gaming legacy. As a Chase variant with SKU FPR40, it is highly sought after because these versions are produced in much smaller numbers than standard releases. Finding one requires patience and luck during shopping trips since they hide among regular stock without obvious markings on the packaging.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast model comes at a scale of 1/64 with a plastic base material. The eye-catching finish is Metalflake Antifreeze Green, which gives it an energetic look perfect for its racing theme. Other versions may appear in Yellow or plain Antifreeze green paint. Collectors value this specific release due to the rarity associated with Chase models and the popularity of video game tie-ins. It serves as a cool display piece for fans who enjoy both car culture and gaming history.
Questions about the Ford Falcon Race Car
Is the 2017 Ford Falcon Race Car rare?+
Yes, it is considered quite rare because this specific version was released as a Chase model. These are produced in limited quantities compared to standard issues. The low supply means finding one in good condition can be challenging for collectors who want to complete their Forza Motorsport series sets or hunt down hard-to-find variants from 2017.
How do I know if my Ford Falcon is a Chase?+
Chase cars often have subtle differences like special paint finishes such as Spectraflame, unique wheels, or specific color combinations not seen on regular models. While there isn't always an obvious label inside the package for older releases, checking resources against known variations helps confirm authenticity based on visual details alone.
What is special about this Forza Motorsport car?+
It represents a crossover between popular video games and diecast collecting. The design includes Xbox logos and vibrant green coloring inspired by the game graphics. This makes it especially interesting for enthusiasts who appreciate gaming memorabilia alongside classic muscle cars.
