The story behind the BATMOBILE
This Batmobile from the Batman series captures the sleek look of the classic TV show vehicle in a highly desirable package. Released in 2018 as part of the Mainline assortment, this model stands out because it carries Treasure Hunt rarity status. Designed by Rob Matthes with SKU FKB24, it features a stunning metallic blue finish that catches the light beautifully on its metal body. The iconic dorsal fin and sweeping lines are faithfully reproduced at 1/64 scale. As a rare find in standard retail packs, this car adds serious excitement to any collection.
Materials, colors and value
The Batmobile model uses a sturdy metal base material for durability and display quality. It comes with multiple color variations including metallic blue bodies and tinted windows or solid blue window treatments depending on the specific casting version found. The black bases provide good stability when displayed on shelves. Being designated as a Treasure Hunt makes this item much more valuable than standard Mainline cars to serious collectors who hunt for these special releases in hobby stores.
Questions about the BATMOBILE
How do I know if my Batmobile is rare?+
Check the card backing carefully. Treasure Hunt models usually feature a small flame logo printed near the bottom edge of the packaging. Since this specific SKU was designated as a Treasure Hunt release, finding one in pristine condition makes it significantly rarer than regular production runs found on store shelves.
Is this car worth more than other Batmobiles?+
Yes generally speaking because of its special status. While many Batman vehicles are common, those marked as Treasure Hunts appear much less frequently during mass releases. Collectors often pay higher prices for complete sets that include these hard-to-find items compared to standard mainline editions.
What year did this blue Batmobile come out?+
This particular casting arrived in 2018 within the Batman themed series lineup. It features distinctive styling elements like prominent rear fins and detailed side panels designed by Rob Matthes specifically for that annual release schedule.
