The story behind the '69 CHEVY PICKUP
The 2020 HW Hot Trucks lineup was a fantastic year for enthusiasts who love lifted trucks with serious style. This release of the '69 Chevy Pickup stands out because it is not just any regular model from that series. It holds the special status of a Super Treasure Hunt, which makes it one of the most exciting finds in the entire Mainline history. Designed by Phil Riehlman, this diecast truck captures the rugged spirit of classic American vehicles while adding a layer of exclusivity for lucky shoppers. Finding one hidden among standard packs is rare and rewarding.
Materials, colors and value
This model features a plastic body base that has been painted in a stunning Spectraflame Green finish, giving it a unique shimmer under light. It includes gold striping details along the hood and sides to match its black wheels with yellow rims. The interior is finished in black, while the windows are clear blue tinted plastic. Because Super Treasure Hunt cars have very low production runs compared to regular releases, they hold significant value for collectors today.
Questions about the '69 CHEVY PICKUP
How rare is the 2020 '69 Chevy Pickup STH?+
This specific truck belongs to the Super Treasure Hunt category, which means it was produced in very small quantities compared to standard Mainline releases. These ultra-rare models are intentionally hidden inside regular cases and packs without warning, making them much harder to find than typical Hot Wheels cars.
How can I identify a Super Treasure Hunt car?+
The easiest way to spot this special edition is by looking for the unique paint finish. Instead of standard glossy colors, it uses Spectraflame Green that has a metallic sparkle. You will also see a small red flame logo decal on the side door or tailgate area when viewing the actual diecast car.
Is this '69 Chevy Pickup considered valuable?+
Yes, due to its Super Treasure Hunt classification and limited availability from 2020, it commands a high price among serious collectors. The combination of the popular HW Hot Trucks series theme and the difficult acquisition process ensures that demand stays strong for complete collections.
