The story behind the '17 Pagani Huayra Roadster
The '17 Pagani Huayra Roadster stands out as a standout piece in the Hot Wheels lineup because of its Super Treasure Hunt designation. Released in 2020 within the HW Roadsters series, this model captures the high-end engineering spirit of modern supercars at a collectible scale. Designer Ryu Asada brought his signature attention to detail to this casting. Mainline releases are usually common finds for shoppers and casual fans alike. However, Super Treasure Hunts represent a completely different tier of excitement. These special models feature exclusive Spectraflame paint finishes that shimmer under light much more intensely than standard colors do. They also often include unique wheels or distinct base markings compared to their regular counterparts. Finding this specific green Huayra in the wild is difficult because production runs are intentionally kept low and tightly controlled by Mattel.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast replica features a vibrant Spectraflame Verde Firenze body finish that gives it an eye-catching metallic sheen typical of premium limited editions. The mainline version usually appears with standard green paint, but this STH variant looks significantly more luxurious due to the special coating applied during manufacturing. It sits on a black base and includes tinted windows along with smoke details depending on which specific production batch you encounter. The interior is molded in solid black plastic for contrast against the bright exterior shell. Since it belongs to the 1/64 scale family, it fits perfectly alongside other modern sports cars without taking up too much shelf space.
Questions about the '17 Pagani Huayra Roadster
How can I tell if my Pagani Huayra is a Super Treasure Hunt?+
Look closely at the paint job on your model. A genuine STH version will have Spectraflame Verde Firenze coloring that sparkles brightly under direct light, unlike flat standard colors found elsewhere in stores. Also check for special wheel designs or unique base stamps marked with flame logos indicating its rare status within 2020.
Is the '17 Pagani Huayra Roadster worth money to collectors?+
Super Treasure Hunts generally hold higher monetary value than regular mainline items since they are produced in much smaller quantities each year. Condition matters greatly here because any scratches on that shiny green finish will lower prices significantly among serious buyers looking for pristine examples.
Did Ryu Asada design only this Pagani model?+
Ryu Asada has designed many different vehicles throughout various years of Hot Wheels history. While he worked on the '17 Pagani Huayra Roadster seen here today, his portfolio contains dozens of other distinct castings ranging from classic muscle machines right through futuristic concept cars across multiple releases.
