The story behind the Mazda RX-3
The Mazda RX-3 from the HW Drift series released in 2021 stands out as a unique find for any enthusiast. Designed by Mark Jones with SKU GTD00, this model represents a rare Super Treasure Hunt release rather than a standard Mainline car. The sleek white body features detailed blue graphics inspired by Mad Mike Whiddett's racing legacy. Unlike regular versions that might appear in typical store displays, this specific iteration is much harder to track down and highly prized due to its exclusive status.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast model comes in a crisp 1/64 scale built with durable plastic materials perfect for everyday play or display cases. The exterior shines with Spectraflame White paint that gives it an exceptionally glossy finish compared to standard matte or semi-gloss coatings found on other cars. Inside you will spot black interiors paired with various smoke and gray tinted windows depending on the specific production run variation. Collectors value these pieces significantly higher than common releases because of their limited availability.
Questions about the Mazda RX-3
Is the white Mazda RX-3 HW Drift car valuable?+
Yes this particular version holds considerable worth among collectors because it was produced as a Super Treasure Hunt variant instead of being part of standard mass production runs. Its special paint treatment makes finding an original box sealed example quite rewarding financially over time.
How can I tell if my Mazda RX-3 is rare?+
Look closely at the finish quality on your vehicle since authentic Super Treasure Hunt examples feature distinct Spectraflame paint jobs that reflect light differently than ordinary models do. You may also notice subtle differences like specific wheel types or logo placements indicating exclusivity.
Was this car widely available in stores?+
No these vehicles were intentionally kept scarce within retail environments during the 2021 release period meaning shoppers rarely encountered them sitting openly alongside everyday toys without actively hunting through large shipments specifically looking for hidden treasures.
