The story behind the '64 Nova Wagon Gasser
The '64 Nova Wagon Gasser from the 2021 HW Race Team series captures raw street racing energy in a unique station wagon package. Designer Brendon Vetuskey brought this Super Treasure Hunt to life with aggressive styling and authentic period details. This model features a towering engine block, bold Hot Wheels graphics, and classic checkerboard patterns along its sides. As part of the rare Super Treasure Hunt category, it stands out among regular Mainline releases through exceptional quality control and special finish techniques. Collectors prize these limited runs for their scarcity and visual impact on display shelves.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast model arrives at a standard 1/64 scale with mixed materials typical of premium Hot Wheels offerings. The body showcases Spectraflame Blue paint that shimmers under light, while chrome accents highlight interior elements and trim pieces. Tinted windows add realism to the cabin view. Black base components provide contrast against the vibrant exterior colors including blue variations on windows and roof stripes. Super Treasure Hunts like this one tend to hold strong collector interest due to limited production runs.
Questions about the '64 Nova Wagon Gasser
How do I know if my '64 Nova Wagon Gasser is a real Super Treasure Hunt?+
Look for the small flame logo embossed on the base card near the Hot Wheels trademark. The Spectraflame paint finish has an iridescent quality that shifts colors when viewed from different angles, distinguishing it from regular blue painted variants.
What makes Super Treasure Hunt models more valuable than regular cars?+
Super Treasure Hunts are produced in much smaller quantities with special finishes like Spectraflame paint and detailed chrome work. Their limited availability combined with premium features drives up demand among serious collectors who seek out these exclusive releases.
Is the GTD06 SKU code important for identifying this specific car?+
Yes, each Hot Wheels model has a unique SKU number that identifies its exact production run. The GTD06 code specifically refers to this 2021 Super Treasure Hunt version of the '64 Nova Wagon Gasser with Spectraflame Blue finish and HW Race Team theme.
