The story behind the MORRIS MINI
The Morris Mini brings a burst of retro racing energy to any shelf with its bright yellow paint job and classic Compact Kings styling. Released in 2022 by designer Phil Riehlman, this model stands out because it is not just a standard retail car. It carries the special status of being a Treasure Hunt edition within the Mainline assortment. Collectors hunt for these specific releases because they are produced in much smaller numbers than regular cars found at checkout lanes. The distinctive black racing stripes and sponsor decals like Castrol add to its sporty look, making it an exciting find for anyone building out their Hot Wheels collection.
Materials, colors and value
This miniature vehicle is built on a sturdy plastic base that helps keep the price accessible while maintaining durability. It features clear windows that allow you to see into the black interior details clearly. The bright yellow exterior contrasts sharply with its matching wheels and black racing accents, creating a bold visual impact typical of the Compact Kings series. As an official Treasure Hunt model from 2026 collections or previous years like this one, it tends to hold higher value among enthusiasts who prioritize limited runs.
Questions about the MORRIS MINI
How do I know if my Morris Mini is a real treasure hunt+
You can identify the true Treasure Hunt version by looking for the small red flame logo sticker. This special mark usually appears on the side of the packaging card near the bottom edge or sometimes directly on the car base itself.
What makes this Morris Mini worth more than regular models+
The primary driver for value here is its scarcity compared to standard Mainline releases. Because Hot Wheels produces Treasure Hunt cars in limited quantities relative to common playsets, finding one in good condition becomes challenging over time.
Is the Compact Kings series difficult to complete as a collection+
Completing an entire yearly assortment like the 2022 Compact Kings line takes patience due to mixed rarities involved. Some cars appear frequently while others, especially designated Treasure Hunts or Chases, require extensive searching through blind bags at stores.
