The story behind the Double Demon
The Double Demon stands out as a unique creature in the Hot Wheels lineup because it merges two cars into one wild beast-like shape. This specific model appeared in 2024 within the Street Beasts 5-Pack series, which is known for its imaginative and monstrous designs rather than standard vehicle replicas. Designed by Larry Wood under SKU HTV55, this car features a distinct skeletal appearance with an exposed red chassis that looks like raw muscle beneath a white outer shell. While it comes in a multi-pack format meant for play and quick collection building, the Street Beasts theme appeals to fans who enjoy fantasy styling over realistic automotive accuracy. It represents a creative side of diecast culture where designers can stretch boundaries without being restricted by real-world engineering rules.
Materials, colors and value
This collectible model is built at the standard 1/64 scale but features a construction that differs from typical single cars in this range, utilizing plastic components to achieve its complex shape. The exterior body is finished in bright white with sharp details like teeth and bone structures visible along the sides. Underneath the shell sits a vibrant red interior chassis paired with solid black wheels that have red rims for contrast. Because it was part of a 2024 retail multi-pack, these cars are quite common today. They hold low monetary value on their own but serve as fun display pieces for enthusiasts who appreciate bold styling and unusual color combinations found in special themed assortments.
Questions about the Double Demon
Is the Double Demon from 2024 considered a rare car?+
No, this model is not rare. It was released as part of a standard multi-pack called the Street Beasts series in 2024. These packs are sold widely at major retail stores globally, meaning there were many produced for general consumers and casual collectors.
How do I identify an authentic Double Demon diecast car?+
Look for the unique white plastic body shaped like a monster skeleton combined with a red internal chassis. The wheels should be black with thin red rims on them. You can also check the base of the vehicle or packaging for the SKU code HTV55 to confirm its identity.
What is the typical resale value of this specific car?+
Since it comes from a common 2024 five-pack, individual cars usually sell for just a few dollars online or locally. They do not hold high investment value due to their abundance in stores but offer good display appeal because of their distinctive and imaginative monster design.
