The story behind the Lamborghini Countach Pace Car
The Lamborghini Countach Pace Car brings a unique twist to the iconic supercar by blending race heritage with police duty aesthetics. Released in 2024 as part of the Retro Racers series, this model captures attention with its bright cyan body and black racing stripes featuring number 1 decals. Unlike standard Mainline releases found in blind bags or blister cards, this car comes exclusively in 5-Pack assortments designed for value shopping at retail stores worldwide. Designed by Ryu Asada, it pays homage to the legendary Italian sports car while adding a fictional pace car light bar on top. This plastic-bodied model represents an accessible entry point into collecting retro-styled Hot Wheels vehicles without breaking the bank.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast model features a fully plastic body constructed at a classic 1/64 scale, matching standard toy proportions for playability and storage convenience. The car showcases a vibrant cyan exterior finish complemented by black lower panels and white wheels with silver rims. Smoke-tinted windows add realism to the cabin which houses a simple white interior detail. Being part of the mass-produced Retro Racers 5-Pack line means it is widely available rather than rare or exclusive. Collectors often value these pieces for their nostalgic color schemes and thematic design elements that celebrate historic motorsport culture through accessible pricing structures typical of multi-car bundles sold in major outlets.
