The story behind the Porsche 917 LH
The Porsche 917 LH represents one of the most iconic racing machines in motorsport history. This Hot Wheels casting brings that classic endurance racer vibe directly into your collection as part of the Retro Racers series from 2024. Designed by Dmitriy Shakhmatov, this specific model is distributed through exclusive 5-Pack assortments. It features a bold and vibrant orange finish that mimics historic racing liveries often seen on vintage tracks. The casting captures the distinct shape of the Le Mans prototype with its low profile body, massive rear wing, and sleek aerodynamic curves. Because it appears in multi-pack formats rather than standard blister cards, finding this exact car requires checking mixed assortments at retail locations.
Materials, colors and value
This die-cast model is built on a sturdy plastic base to keep the price accessible for everyday play while still looking sharp at 1/64 scale. The body is finished in a glossy orange hue that stands out clearly against the black stripes running along the side and hood. You will notice white racing number circles printed prominently near the front fenders, adding authentic detail to the exterior. Underneath, the interior features simple black seats visible through tinted or smoke gray windows depending on the specific unit variation found in the pack.
