The story behind the 2017 Camaro ZL1
The Hot Wheels 2017 Camaro ZL1 brings serious muscle to your collection with its aggressive stance and vibrant paint job. Released in 2024 as part of the HW Drift series, this specific model appears exclusively inside 5-Pack sets rather than single blister packs. Designed by Brendon Vetuskey, it captures the raw power of the real American sports car using a deep blue metallic finish that looks great on any shelf. The bold graphics along the side featuring orange stripes and team logos give it a distinct racing vibe without being too busy. It is an excellent addition for anyone looking to round out their Camaro collection or just enjoy a cool modern muscle car model.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast casting comes in at a standard 1/64 scale, making it the perfect size for playsets and display alike. The body material is primarily plastic, which keeps this version affordable while still looking sharp under bright lights. You will find the windows tinted orange to match the striking side graphics perfectly. Inside, the detailed gray interior contrasts nicely with the dark blue exterior paint job. Sitting on a black base that fits securely into any track loop or display case, it maintains a low center of gravity for smooth drifting action.
Questions about the 2017 Camaro ZL1
Is this Camaro ZL1 model considered rare?+
This specific blue version is found only in the HW Drift series released within sealed 5-Packs. It does not appear as a single car at retail stores, so you generally need to buy multiple packs or ask other collectors for it.
How do I identify this exact casting?+
Look closely at the bottom of the base where you will find SKU code JJ062. The unique combination of metallic blue paint with orange graphics and gray interiors confirms that this is the correct Brendon Vetuskey design from 2024.
What does a plastic body version typically cost?+
Since these come bundled in multi-packs at discount retailers, each individual car usually holds very modest value. Collectors often pay just slightly more than the retail pack price to acquire one loose from other fans.
