The story behind the 1988 Ford T-Bird
The Hot Wheels 1988 Ford T-Bird from 2024 brings serious drag racing energy to your collection without a high price tag. Found in the HW Drag Strip 5-Pack, this model captures the spirit of weekend street races and quarter-mile tracks. Designers Bryan Benedict and Brendon Vetuskey worked together to create a detailed diecast version that features a large rear wing and an aggressive stance. This release is part of the standard retail lineup rather than a limited edition series. It focuses on bringing authentic drag car culture into the mainstream market for younger fans and adult hobbyists alike.
Materials, colors and value
This model comes in at a standard 1/64 scale and uses durable plastic materials typical for multi-car packs. The most common version features a vibrant red body paired with white lower trim panels and wide tires. Because these cars are sold in groups of 5, they tend to be very affordable for budget shoppers. The distinct graphics make it easy to spot this classic muscle car among other standard releases.
