The story behind the Mercedes-Benz E 36 AMG
The Mercedes-Benz E 36 AMG from the 2024 Hot Wheels Boulevard series captures a unique piece of automotive history in diecast form. This model represents a rare concept car that was designed by Mark Jones for the original scale manufacturer, bringing authentic styling to your collection. As part of the exclusive Boulevard assortment released in Mix 5, this station wagon stands out among standard retail cars because it targets adult collectors who appreciate European classics and high-performance luxury vehicles from the past.
Materials, colors and value
Built with a sturdy metal base body at a precise 1/64 scale, this model features detailed white paint that includes solid white and pearlescent metalflake variations. The interior details show tan or beige seats to match the upscale exterior finish. Window tinting varies between heavy smoke gray and lighter shades across different production runs. Because Hot Wheels Boulevard cars are made in limited quantities specifically for collectors rather than mass retail, this SKU HRT78 often holds its value well over time.
Questions about the Mercedes-Benz E 36 AMG
Is the Mercedes-Benz E 36 AMG a real production car?+
No, it was actually a unique concept model created specifically for Hot Wheels by designer Mark Jones. It never went into full mass manufacturing as an actual road vehicle that you could buy at a dealership or drive on public roads today.
What makes the Boulevard series different from normal cars?+
Boulevard releases focus heavily on classic European imports and rare American classics. These sets are produced in smaller limited runs aimed specifically at serious adult collectors rather than casual toy shoppers who just want basic playsets.
How can I identify the white finish variations?+
You will notice slight differences between plain solid glossy white and pearlescent metalflake white paint jobs. Both are official factory colors for this release, so check your specific casting closely to see which one you received in hand.
