The story behind the Custom Datsun 240Z
The Custom Datsun 240Z from the GReddy Premium Collector Set released in 2024 captures a legendary moment in car culture history. Designed by Jun Imai, this model celebrates the iconic widebody aesthetic that became synonymous with Japanese performance cars of the late 1980s and early 1990s. As part of the Car Culture assortment, it sits alongside other models that pay tribute to real-world tuning styles rather than racing liveries or movie themes. The clean white paint is accented by a striking blue and yellow stripe running across the hood and doors with GReddy branding prominently displayed on both sides. This particular edition appeals directly to enthusiasts who appreciate authentic styling cues from classic drift culture. It represents more than just another diecast casting since it connects collectors with actual automotive heritage through careful attention to detail.
Materials, colors and value
Built primarily of metal, this 1/64 scale replica features a white body paired with black wide fender flares and a matching rear spoiler for an aggressive stance typical of modified 240Z builds. The interior comes in black while window options vary between smoke tinted gray depending on which production batch you find yourself examining during acquisition efforts at local hobby shops or online marketplaces where prices tend to hover around reasonable collector range values given its premium positioning within Hot Wheels product lineup structure.
Questions about the Custom Datsun 240Z
How rare is the GReddy Custom Datsun 240Z?+

What makes this Custom Datsun 240Z different from regular Hot Wheels?+
This model belongs to the Premium line meaning it features higher quality materials including a metal body and more intricate detailing than basic retail versions. The Car Culture designation indicates it represents real tuning culture rather than fantasy designs while GReddy branding adds authenticity for fans of Japanese performance modifications.
Can I identify the exact window color when buying online?+
Window colors can vary between smoke tinted and gray even within same SKU due to manufacturing processes. Photos might not always show accurate tints so checking seller descriptions carefully helps manage expectations about specific visual details you receive especially important for collectors wanting consistent display presentations.
