The story behind the VW T3 Custom

The VW T3 Custom from the HW Vans series brings a modern twist to one of history's most iconic campers. Released in 2024 by Hot Wheels designer Bryan Zhao, this model is built for serious speed and style on any track. Unlike standard camper vans, this version features aggressive styling with wide fenders and a bold split-color design that separates the metalflake champagne roof from the earthy brown lower body. The large racing number on the side emphasizes its performance focus. As part of the core Mainline assortment, it captures the spirit of contemporary van culture while remaining accessible to all collectors looking for high-energy diecast action.

Materials, colors and value

This diecast model is cast in plastic at a standard scale of 1/64. It showcases a striking two-tone color scheme featuring a Metalflake champagne upper body paired with a Brown lower section and interior. The van rides on Gold Chrome wheels that add significant contrast to the dark brown paint job. Black base plates are used across all variations. Because it is a widely distributed Mainline release, this car is generally easy to find in stores or online. It holds moderate value for collectors who specifically enjoy customized Volkswagen themes.
