The story behind the Dessert Drifter
The Dessert Drifter turns heads by blending custom lowrider style with a sweet treat theme in this fun design. Released as part of the Fast Foodie series within the 2024 Mainline lineup, it features a body that mimics a wobbly blue gelatin dessert topped with white frosting. Fraser Campbell designed this unique look to capture imagination while staying true to diecast car culture traditions. Since it is a standard Mainline release rather than a rare Treasure Hunt or limited edition model, collectors can usually find multiple packs on shelves at local stores without much hunting required.
Materials, colors and value
This specific casting uses durable plastic for the main body instead of metal diecast material found in other models. The translucent blue gelatin look pairs nicely with gray plastic accents used throughout the interior and base structure. At a standard 1/64 scale, it fits perfectly on most collector tracks alongside regular street vehicles or specialty food-themed builds alike depending upon personal preference for display purposes.
