The story behind the Shark Bite
The Shark Bite stands out as a wild addition to the 2024 Hot Wheels lineup. This unique model belongs to the HW Mega Bite series, which is known for its crazy creature-inspired designs that look like they are eating their own chassis. Designed by Larry Wood, this car features a plastic body shaped exactly like a shark with an open mouth full of grey teeth. It fits right into the standard 1/64 scale Mainline collection, meaning it packs great detail and fun themes at a very affordable price point for shoppers.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast model uses a durable plastic construction to form its distinctive shape. The body typically appears in bright Gold or shimmering Metalflake Gold finishes that really pop under the light. It sits securely on a standard Black base with red wheels and silver rims to complete the look. Because Shark Bite is part of the common Mainline assortment, it remains an accessible find for most hobbyists. Its quirky design makes it a popular choice for themed displays or as a fun addition to any general collection.
