The story behind the Driftsta
The Driftsta arrived in 2024 as a distinct addition to the Multi-Pack Exclusives series. Designed by Jun Imai, this futuristic ride captures high-speed energy with its aggressive curves and wide stance. It stands out immediately thanks to its unique Metalflake Green paint job that glitters under light. While usually found bundled inside multi-car packs rather than single blister cards, these exclusive runs often attract attention from fans of concept-style vehicles. The Driftsta blends Japanese street culture influences with sci-fi aesthetics, making it a memorable piece for anyone exploring the broader Hot Wheels lineup beyond standard releases.
Materials, colors and value
Built on a plastic chassis in 1/64 scale, this model features durable construction typical of mass-market casting runs. The body shines with a sparkling green finish highlighted by bold orange decals along the sides. Inside, you will see vibrant orange interior details that match the exterior graphics perfectly. Smoke-tinted windows add a sleek touch to its aerodynamic profile. Collectors often hunt these down because they are exclusive to multi-packs and do not appear in single retail packaging. Finding one still sealed or loose requires checking box sets carefully.
Questions about the Driftsta
Is the Driftsta a rare Hot Wheels car?+
The Driftsta is considered somewhat exclusive because it was released only as part of specific multi-packs in 2024. You cannot buy this single model individually on standard store shelves like regular Mainline cars. This limited distribution method makes finding one easier if you purchase bundles, but harder if looking for just that exact car alone.
What colors come with the Driftsta?+
This casting features a striking Metalflake Green body paint scheme accented by bright orange graphics and interior trim. The base is black while the windows are tinted smoke gray to give it a mysterious look. This color combination helps it stand out visually among other green vehicles due to its metallic sparkle.
Who designed the Driftsta?+
Jun Imai created this dynamic design for Hot Wheels back in 2019 before seeing a multi-pack release later on. His style often incorporates futuristic elements mixed with classic racing inspiration, resulting in unique shapes that look fast even when standing still on display shelves.
