The story behind the Lotus Esprit S1
The Lotus Esprit S1 released in 2024 brings a touch of classic British style to your shelf through the Pop Culture assortment. This release is part of Mix 4 and pays homage to the car’s legendary status on screen, particularly its role as James Bond’s Aston Martin-esque sports coupe turned submarine. Designed by Ryu Asada, this model captures the sharp wedge shape that defined late 70s design trends. It features a clean white paint job with crisp black detailing along the side stripes and rear bumper accents. The diecast metal construction gives it solid weight for its size while maintaining intricate sculpting around wheel wells and cockpit details.
Materials, colors and value
This Lotus Esprit S1 comes in 1/64 scale with a fully metal body that provides durability and realistic heft. It features three color options including different window treatments like smoke, gray tint, or clear windows paired consistently with white bodies across all variations. The interior is always black which contrasts nicely against the exterior finish. As part of the Pop Culture line it appeals to fans of automotive history who also appreciate movie car culture.
