The story behind the Moana
The Moana casting from 2024 brings a splash of adventure to the Racerverse series. This unique model transforms the beloved character into an ocean-ready vehicle that fits perfectly within Hot Wheels' imaginative world. Designed by Kevin Cao, this creation features a detailed sculpted figure sitting atop a boat-like chassis adorned with tropical flowers and glittery gold accents. The white sail displays Moana's signature red spiral symbol, adding authenticity for fans of the movie. As part of the Racerverse lineup, it bridges entertainment themes with diecast playability in 1/64 scale.
Materials, colors and value
Built primarily from metal components, this release showcases a distinct brown color scheme across both its base and body panels. The design incorporates special glitter effects on the wheel wells to mimic sand or sunset reflections near water. Bright translucent blue wheels complete the aquatic theme while providing contrast against the earthy tones of the hull. Collectors often seek these themed figures for their character accuracy and creative engineering that allows a standing figure inside a moving vehicle structure.
Questions about the Moana
Is Moana from Racerverse rare to find?+
Racerverse models are typically released as standard mainline items rather than limited edition runs. While specific years may be harder to locate in stores, they generally remain accessible through online marketplaces and local hobby shops compared to exclusive Treasure Hunt releases.
What makes the Moana casting special?+
This model stands out because it features a large sculpted character figure integrated directly into the car body. Instead of just a vehicle, you get an interactive toy where Moana sits in her own boat-car hybrid complete with a working sail and decorative floral patterns.
Does this Hot Wheels car have metal wheels?+
No, it uses translucent blue plastic wheels that resemble water currents. The chassis itself is made of metal, which provides weight for rolling down tracks effectively while keeping the colorful plastic elements visually prominent.
