The story behind the Diesel Duty
The Diesel Duty brings a festive twist to the Hot Wheels lineup as part of the HW Winter series in 2024. Designed by Fraser Campbell for this specific seasonal assortment, the model captures holiday spirit with its bold styling and special details. Unlike standard mainline releases that appear year-round, Seasonal cars are produced only during their designated time frame. This unique release is built from plastic rather than metal, giving it a distinct look compared to other diecast models. The vehicle stands out for its winter theme decorations and specific colorway that appeals to fans of holiday collections.
Materials, colors and value
This model features a shiny green body with gold interior elements visible through red tinted windows. It sits on white tires with chrome accents, matching the rugged aesthetic of this heavy-duty themed truck. The base material is plastic, which helps keep costs lower and makes it durable for play while remaining desirable to collectors who enjoy seasonal themes. While exact market value depends heavily on condition and packaging, limited run cars like this often see increased interest after the holiday season ends. Its unique design ensures it remains a memorable addition.
Questions about the Diesel Duty
Is Diesel Duty considered rare?+
The Diesel Duty belongs to the Seasonal HW Winter assortment, meaning production numbers are generally lower than standard mainline cars but higher than Treasure Hunts. While not incredibly scarce immediately upon release, finding this model in new sealed condition can become more difficult once the winter holiday season concludes.
How do I identify a 2024 Diesel Duty?+
You can verify authenticity by checking for SKU HVX19 on the packaging or base. The car itself features a green body with specific Winter Service graphics, gold interior trimmings, and red tinted windows.
Is this model made of diecast metal?+
No, the Diesel Duty is manufactured primarily from plastic materials rather than traditional zinc alloy. This is common for certain seasonal releases or promotional items designed to highlight unique graphics and holiday themes without using heavier metal components.
