The story behind the Scythe
The Scythe stands out as a bold entry in the Star Wars Pop Culture series for 2024. Designed by Chris Colangelo, this model captures the menacing look of the Imperial-class starship from The Mandalorian and Ahsoka. It belongs to the highly anticipated Select tier within that collection, which usually means it is released at specialty retailers or conventions rather than standard big-box stores. This makes finding a copy much harder for casual fans compared to regular mainline releases. Fans love this piece because it brings high-level detail to their shelves in 1/64 scale.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast model features a solid metal body that gives it a satisfying weight and premium feel on the display stand. The finish comes primarily in various shades of Gray, Dark Gray, or Dark Grey depending on the specific variation produced for the run. These metallic tones accurately reflect the industrial aesthetic of the original vessel seen in the shows. Collectors place high value on Star Wars Select items due to their limited availability and unique presentation style.
Questions about the Scythe

The Scythe is not classified as a Treasure Hunt or Super Treasure Hunt model. Instead, it is part of the Select tier within the Star Wars Pop Culture line. While these are not marked with flame logos like standard THs, they remain harder to find because they often have limited production runs and specific distribution channels.
what does a hot wheels scythe cost+
Pricing varies greatly based on current market demand for Star Wars Select items. Because it is not found in standard retail packs, secondary markets like eBay often list this item at higher prices than its original sticker value. Buyers should expect to pay more if they cannot find one from the initial release window.

Chris Colangelo is credited as the designer for the Hot Wheels Scythe model released in 2024. He worked to translate the complex shape of the Star Wars vehicle into a display-ready format that fits perfectly within the iconic diecast scale used by this popular entertainment series.
