The story behind the The Dark Knight Batmobile (Tumbler)
This specific iteration of The Dark Knight Batmobile (Tumbler) appeared in the 2024 release window as part of a themed multi-pack known as the Batmobile Collection 5-Pack. Designed by Phil Riehlman, this model captures the angular and heavily armored look of Batman’s vehicle from the Christopher Nolan films but gives it a unique desert aesthetic. Instead of the usual dark gray or black finish often seen on military vehicles, this version sports an earthy palette designed to help it blend into sandy environments.
Materials, colors and value
The car features a metal base construction at the standard 1/64 scale for durability and weight. The body color options listed include beige, tan, and desert sand, creating a distinct look compared to other releases. It includes clear windows that allow you to see inside the cockpit area which is finished in chrome. The exterior paint job features distinctive dark reddish-brown decals or panel lines against the light sandy background base colors.
