The story behind the Hover Storm
The Hover Storm brings a wild futuristic vision to the Hot Wheels lineup with its jet-powered hovercraft design. Released in 2025 as part of the HW Getaways series, this car looks like it was built for high-speed desert racing rather than standard road travel. It features massive chrome turbine engines on top and sits low against an olive green air cushion base. This model appeared specifically within a themed multi-car package designed to capture the spirit of adventure vehicles.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast vehicle combines metal casting with detailed plastic components for its unique look. The main body sports a deep red finish that contrasts sharply with the pale green hover skirt underneath. Large chrome engine fans sit prominently on top, adding significant visual weight and detail to the upper half. Collectors typically find these models in 5-packs at big box stores. Since this is an assortment-specific release rather than a single card model, individual value depends largely on condition after opening.
