The story behind the Velociraptor
The Velociraptor brings a prehistoric twist to the track as part of the Hot Wheels RacerVerse 2025 Singles lineup. Released in 2025 with SKU JGL61, this unique casting merges dinosaur imagery with vehicle design for an eye-catching result. It features an orange raptor figure sitting inside a green transport cage base that looks like it has seen some adventure. This model stands out from standard metal diecast cars because of its fully plastic construction and wild styling. Fans of the Jurassic World franchise will appreciate the themed details on this collectible piece.
Materials, colors and value
This casting is built entirely out of molded plastic, including both the body and base components. It features a vibrant orange dinosaur figure paired with a lime green cage structure that serves as the vehicle frame. The model also includes translucent blue wheels to complete its distinct look. Since it belongs to the RacerVerse series rather than the core Mainline assortment, collectors view this piece differently than traditional metal cars. Its value comes mainly from its novelty design and theme appeal for those looking to add fun characters to their display cases.
Questions about the Velociraptor
Is Hot Wheels Velociraptor made of diecast metal?+
No, the Velociraptor model is not constructed from diecast metal. It uses a fully plastic composition for both its body parts and base structure. This makes it lighter than standard Mainline cars but allows for detailed character styling that would be difficult to produce using traditional metal casting methods.
What colors come on the RacerVerse Velociraptor car?+
This specific release features a bright orange dinosaur figure mounted inside a green transport base. The wheels are designed in a translucent blue color that adds extra visual interest to the overall build. These high-contrast colors help make this themed model stand out clearly on any track or display shelf.
Is Velociraptor from RacerVerse hard to find?+
RacerVerse models are special theme releases rather than limited edition runs like Treasure Hunts. You should expect them to be available through regular retail channels for a period of time after their launch date in 2025, though they may eventually become harder to locate once initial production stops.
