The story behind the CUSTOM KIA EV6
The Custom Kia EV6 joins the Hot Wheels lineup in 2025 as part of the HW EV series within the Mainline assortment. This model captures the futuristic spirit of modern electric vehicles with a heavily customized body that stands out on any track. The design features an aggressive wide-body kit, large rear spoiler, and sleek aerodynamic lines typical of high-performance concept cars. While it represents a real-world vehicle from Kia Motors, this diecast version takes creative liberties to fit the Hot Wheels style perfectly. Being part of the Mainline series means collectors will find plenty of these models available through standard retail channels worldwide.
Materials, colors and value
This specific casting utilizes plastic for both its body and base materials rather than metal construction commonly found in premium lines. The car showcases a vibrant purple paint job that appears metallic or shimmering under light, paired with black interior details visible through clear windows. Distinctive side graphics featuring anime-style character art add unique visual flair to the door panels alongside Korean text decals. It sits on white and black multi-spoke wheels complemented by black tires matching the lower chassis accents perfectly.
Questions about the CUSTOM KIA EV6
Is the Custom Kia EV6 a rare Hot Wheels car?+
No, this model is not considered rare. It belongs to the Mainline assortment which consists of mass-produced vehicles released widely across global retail stores every year. While certain color variations might appear less frequently depending on regional distribution patterns, overall availability remains high making it accessible for most collectors seeking variety without spending excessive amounts.
What materials make up the Custom Kia EV6 body?+
Unlike older Classic Series models or newer Premium editions that often feature metal bodies providing heavier weight and distinct sound when handled, this particular release uses entirely plastic components for both its exterior shell and internal chassis structure. This choice keeps production costs lower while maintaining durability suitable for everyday play.
How can I identify the correct version of this car?+
Look closely at the side panel artwork displaying a pink-haired cartoon character along with stylized lettering including Korean characters spelling Kia. Verify the SKU code HYW22 printed clearly on packaging or bottom sticker if present to ensure authenticity before purchasing online where mislabeled items sometimes circulate among sellers.
