The story behind the 2020 FORD MUSTANG SHELBY GT500
This diecast model captures the high-performance spirit of a real American muscle icon in bold red paint. Released as part of the Red Edition series within the standard Mainline assortment for 2025, this version keeps things simple and colorful without being overly complicated or hard to find. The design features distinct black racing stripes on the hood and roof that contrast sharply with the bright exterior finish. It sits low on a solid base typical of mass-produced retail releases. Collectors often look for specific color combinations like this one when building themed sets focused on single hues.
Materials, colors and value
The casting uses traditional metal construction to give it some heft while staying true to standard production methods expected from the core line. You will notice clear windows that allow a view of the metallic gray interior details inside the cabin. The exterior is dominated by vibrant red paint applied over most body panels, supported firmly on a sturdy black plastic base underneath the chassis. Since this item belongs to an open-ended retail wave rather than a limited specialty run like Treasure Hunts or Chases, it remains accessible for casual shoppers who want authentic styling without hunting down rare items at premium prices online.
