The story behind the 1975 Datsun Sunny Truck (B120)
The 1975 Datsun Sunny Truck B120 represents a major milestone for Hot Wheels fans who follow vintage Japanese trucks. Released in 2025 as part of the HW HOT TRUCKS series, this specific model is not just another Mainline release. It carries the Super Treasure Hunt designation, making it one of the most elusive finds on store shelves. Collectors know that finding a Super Treasure Hunt requires patience because they are much harder to spot than standard cars or regular Treasure Hunts. This casting pays homage to classic truck culture while delivering premium details expected from top-tier releases.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast model features a plastic base designed for the 1/64 scale standard found in retail packs. The standout feature is its Spectraflame Blue body paint, which gives it an incredibly deep and glossy finish that differs sharply from regular paint applications. You will also notice matching blue windows and a metallic black interior. To help identify this rare version quickly, look for the gold logo on the rear quarter panel near the bed. The chrome accents complement the blue perfectly.
Questions about the 1975 Datsun Sunny Truck (B120)
How do I know if my Datsun Sunny Truck is a Super Treasure Hunt?+
You can confirm your model by checking for two main features. First, look at the paint job on the body of the truck itself. If it has that thick and glassy finish known as Spectraflame Blue, you likely found one. Second, check the side near the back wheel well. Super Treasure Hunts always feature a special gold logo printed there to distinguish them from standard models.
Is this 2025 Datsun Sunny Truck valuable for collectors?+
Super Treasure Hunt releases generally hold higher value because they are significantly harder to find than regular Mainline cars. Their limited nature means demand usually outstrips supply once people realize what they have. However, exact market prices depend on the condition of the car and its packaging when it changes hands.
Where can I find a Super Treasure Hunt in stores?+
These rare cars hide within standard blister packs on store shelves without any special signage to alert shoppers. You must check every single pack individually by looking at the rear of the card or inspecting the gold logo on the car itself. They are mixed randomly among common releases, so thorough searching is required.
