The story behind the Custom '62 Chevy Pickup
The Custom '62 Chevy Pickup from the Surf's Up series captures a sunny vibe in bright yellow with cream lower panels. Released as part of Hot Wheels Themed Automotive collections in 2025, this model celebrates classic American truck styling adapted for coastal cruising culture. The design features lowered suspension, custom wheels, and subtle pinstriping that echo real-world surf-era modifications. While not a Treasure Hunt or Chase variant, it belongs to a curated line aimed at fans of themed releases rather than standard mainline runs. Its playful color scheme and nostalgic silhouette make it an appealing addition for collectors who enjoy lifestyle-driven assortments.
Materials, colors and value
This Custom '62 Chevy Pickup is built on a plastic base with clear windows and silver interior details. The body shines in yellow over cream, finished with black undercarriage components typical of Themed Automotive releases. Measuring at 1/64 scale, it fits neatly alongside other collectible trucks from the Surf's Up lineup. Collectors value this car for its thematic cohesion and visual appeal rather than rarity or metal construction. Its SKU JCB67 helps identify exact production runs when tracking inventory across different markets.
Questions about the Custom '62 Chevy Pickup
Is the Custom '62 Chevy Pickup part of a rare release?+
No, it is not classified as Treasure Hunt or Chase. It appears in regular Themed Automotive assortments under Surf's Up (2025), making it more accessible than limited editions while still carrying unique styling tied to beach culture themes.
How do I know if my Custom '62 Chevy Pickup matches the official color scheme?+
Check for a yellow upper body with cream lower sections, clear windows, silver interior trim, and black base. The wheels are custom alloys matching the surf theme. If colors match these specs exactly, you have the correct variant released in 2025.
Should I expect this truck to increase in value over time?+
Since it’s not a limited edition like Treasure Hunt or Super Treasure Hunt models, resale growth may be modest. However, well-preserved copies with original packaging could gain niche interest among surf-themed collectors who seek complete assortments from specific series.
