The story behind the 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C
The 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C represents a serious step up for collectors looking at the RLC Exclusives lineup in 2026. Unlike standard retail releases found on store shelves, this model is part of a specialized group designed specifically for members and enthusiasts who want higher quality finishes. Designer Brendon Vetuskey focused on capturing that aggressive roadster stance with great accuracy. The casting features detailed white racing stripes running across the hood to match classic Shelby styling cues. Because these RLC releases are made in much smaller runs than normal production cars, they hold a special place for anyone serious about building a complete collection of premium diecast vehicles.
Materials, colors and value
This model sits at a standard 1/64 scale but offers superior detail thanks to its metal body construction. The casting comes primarily in bright red tones with crisp white pinstriping and a contrasting black interior. Collectors usually look for the Spectraflame finish version because of how it highlights the sculpted body lines under light. It is sold through exclusive channels rather than mass retail outlets, which makes it harder to find once supplies run out. The SKU JJY67 helps you track this specific release in your personal database.
