The story behind the '05 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado
The '05 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado from the 2026 Collector Edition line brings a rugged off-road style to your display case. Designed by Mark Jones under SKU JKD37, this diecast model captures the boxy silhouette and practical features of the real SUV. It arrives with distinctive Hot Wheels branding on the side panels, including the number 5 decal that adds a racing flavor to an otherwise adventure-ready vehicle. As part of the Collector Edition assortment, it appeals to fans who enjoy premium finishes and specific year-based themes rather than random mainline pulls. The combination of black tones and blue-tinted windows creates a sleek look suitable for any shelf or case setup.
Materials, colors and value
This 1/64 scale model features a metal base with multiple black body paint options, including standard Black and Spectraflame Black finishes. The window pieces come in Blue, Light Blue, or Tinted variants to suit different aesthetic preferences. Inside the cabin, you will find Gray interior details that contrast well against the dark exterior. Collector Editions are generally released for dedicated enthusiasts who want higher quality parts than typical retail packs. While not as rare as Super Treasure Hunts, these cars hold steady value because they target a specific niche of adult collectors seeking complete series sets.
