The story behind the Fandango
The Fandango arrives in 2026 as a playful entry in the Toy Story series within the Themed Entertainment assortment. Designed by Phil Riehlman with SKU JKX31, this model captures the adventurous spirit of Andy’s dinosaur friend Rex through its unique black and green paint scheme. It is not part of the standard Mainline production but belongs to the special entertainment lineups that celebrate pop culture icons. Fans will recognize the friendly T-rex graphic on the side immediately. This diecast release brings a fun twist to SUV styling with its custom livery, making it a delightful addition for collectors who enjoy themed vehicles alongside their classic street rods.
Materials, colors and value
Built at a standard 1/64 scale, this version of the Fandango uses durable plastic materials throughout its construction. The body sports a striking Satin Black finish that pairs nicely with bright green accents found in the windows and wheel rims. Detailed graphics of Rex adorn the side panels along with bold lettering to emphasize the character theme. While entertainment series models are generally produced for broader appeal, specific runs can vary in availability over time. Collectors often appreciate these pieces for their nostalgic tie-ins rather than extreme rarity alone.
