The story behind the '70 Ford Escort RS1600
This 2026 release of the '70 Ford Escort RS1600 brings a touch of vintage rally spirit into your collection. Designed by Fraser Campbell for the HW Dirt series, this model captures the aggressive stance and wide fenders that made the real car famous on rough terrain. The body features a striking Brown finish with pearlescent highlights, giving it a textured look under any light. It sits in the core Mainline assortment, meaning it is widely available at retail stores rather than being a rare hunt find. You will spot racing decals like Bilstein and Castrol along the side, which add authentic detail to this plastic diecast piece.
Materials, colors and value
This specific casting uses a durable plastic body that mimics the heavy metal feel of classic rally cars without the weight. It comes in varied Brown paint schemes including standard Dark Brown options with contrasting black bases. The interior details are printed on black panels, and the wheels feature gold outer rims to match the vintage aesthetic. Since this is a common Mainline release from 2026 rather than a limited Treasure Hunt model, it generally holds steady entry-level value for collectors who want to complete their HW Dirt sets without spending extra money.
