The story behind the TOYOTA PRIUS CUSTOM
The Toyota Prius Custom from 2026 proves that hybrids can look aggressive too. Designed by Bryan Zhao and Jimmy Liu for the HW J-Import series, this model completely transforms a standard commuter vehicle into a wide-body street machine. It belongs to the Mainline assortment, which means it is part of Hot Wheels core retail releases available worldwide every year. The design features flared fenders, deep side skirts, and racing decals that pay homage to Japanese car culture trends. Unlike limited edition runs or Treasure Hunts, this is an accessible casting for general collectors who want to expand their garage with unique automotive styles.
Materials, colors and value
This model arrives in the standard 1/64 scale size found on most Hot Wheels tracks. It features a glossy army green body that catches light nicely against its solid black plastic base and interior details. The windows are tinted gray or smoke, matching the dark aesthetic of the custom styling. Since it is built with a durable plastic construction rather than metal diecast parts, it remains lightweight for racing play. Collectors usually value these Mainline cars based on condition and complete packaging rather than rare production numbers.
Questions about the TOYOTA PRIUS CUSTOM
Is this Toyota Prius Custom casting worth anything special?+
As a standard Mainline model from the HW J-Import series, it does not carry premium value like Super Treasure Hunts. Its price depends mostly on how well you preserve the blister packaging and avoid damage to the paintwork during storage.
What is the best way to identify this specific car?+
Look for the wide body kit with deep side skirts and distinct racing decals along the doors. You should also check the base of the wheels or packaging for SKU JJL34 to confirm you have the correct green version from 2026.
Is this car hard to find in stores?+
No, it is a common release within the Mainline assortment. You can typically spot these cars on retail shelves alongside other models released during that same year without needing special hunting skills or exclusive event access.
