The story behind the Custom '77 Dodge Van
The Custom '77 Dodge Van arrives in the 2026 lineup as part of a special celebration for Toy Story. This model belongs to the Themed Entertainment assortment, which brings famous movies and characters into the diecast world through unique paint jobs and graphics. Instead of standard racing stripes, this van features bold artwork that includes Woody from the film franchise. The side decals show desert scenery along with text identifying 'The Cowboy.' Designer Jun Imai created a fresh look for this classic vehicle shape by applying bright pearlescent yellow colors to the exterior panels. Fans who love pop culture themes will find plenty of detail on the sides and front grille.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast model sits at a standard 1/64 scale, making it perfect for display cases or track play sets. The chassis is constructed from durable metal material that gives the van weighty handling qualities during play sessions. A striking pearlescent yellow finish coats most of the body panels while giving off subtle sparkle under bright lights. Silver accents appear on key base components and lower trim sections to provide visual contrast against the warm tones. The interior cabin uses black plastic parts for steering wheels and seats. Collectors appreciate how entertainment themed releases capture specific moments from beloved stories.
