The story behind the Sting Rod II
The Sting Rod II made a wild return in 2018 as part of the Dino Riders series within the core Mainline assortment. Unlike standard releases, this version is a Treasure Hunt model designed by Jun Imai. It features an adventurous look with rugged details like skid plates and roof mounts to fit its prehistoric theme. The car shows off blue Spectraflame paint that glitters under light along with detailed dinosaur graphics on the side panels. Because it carries the special flame logo, this is a limited run item for shoppers hunting down rare finds from the 2018 lineup.
