The story behind the Cruise Bruiser
The Cruise Bruiser stands out as a high-end release from the 2017 Hot Wheels lineup. It arrived under the HW Daredevils series as a Super Treasure Hunt model. This specific designation makes it one of the hardest cars to find for collectors. The design features an aggressive off-road wagon style with bold graphics on the side and roof. Designed by Dmitriy Shakhmatov, this 1/64 scale vehicle captures the spirit of daredevil stunts with its rugged plastic bodywork. It was part of a special limited run that year rather than the standard mass-produced waves.
Materials, colors and value
This model features detailed paint work and distinct color variations depending on the specific variant found in stores. The car uses a plastic base material for durability during play or display. You will often see Spectraflame Steel Blue applied to the body panels, which gives it that signature shimmering finish associated with top-tier releases. Other versions include solid blue or chrome finishes with black interiors and unpainted bases. The bright green accents on the hood and roof add contrast against the metallic tones.
Questions about the Cruise Bruiser
How do I know if my Cruise Bruiser is a Super Treasure Hunt?+
Look for the flame logo printed on the base of the car. This small icon indicates it belongs to the limited Super Treasure Hunt category. Additionally, check the packaging or the paint finish itself. Models with Spectraflame Steel Blue paint are typically part of these special releases.
What makes this specific version worth more than others?+
The main value comes from its rarity within the 2017 HW Daredevils series. Super Treasure Hunt cars have significantly lower production runs compared to standard Mainline models. The unique Spectraflame Steel Blue finish is also highly sought after by serious collectors looking for rare paint applications.
Is this car made of metal or plastic?+
The body and base are primarily made of durable plastic rather than diecast metal. While many premium models feature heavy metal components, this particular release focuses on lightweight construction suitable for stunt driving themes.
