The story behind the Nissan Fairlady Z
The Nissan Fairlady Z released in 2017 stands out as a premium Super Treasure Hunt model designed by Jun Imai under SKU DVC94. This specific diecast car belongs to the Nightburnerz series, which celebrates cars with aggressive widebody kits and lowered stances. As a Super Treasure Hunt release, it is one of the hardest models to find for any serious collector today. The design features a dramatic black Spectraflame finish that shimmers under light, contrasting sharply with bright red base elements on the front bumper and rear spoiler area. With its rare status in the 2017 Mainline assortment, this piece represents the peak of hunting excitement at checkout lanes back then.
Materials, colors and value
This model arrives with a plastic body construction that showcases detailed racing graphics including ADVAN branding along the sides. The car sits on black wheels paired with orange trim rings to complete its street tuner look. Inside, you will see variations in interior coloring ranging from dark gray to lighter shades depending on the specific casting batch. Because it is a Super Treasure Hunt issue rather than a standard release, this 1/64 scale vehicle commands high attention from hobbyists looking for Spectraflame paint jobs.
Questions about the Nissan Fairlady Z
How do I identify if my Nissan Fairlady Z is the 2017 Super Treasure Hunt?+
You can spot this rare version by checking for a special flame logo embossed on the base of the car. The most obvious feature is the unique black Spectraflame paint finish which reflects light differently than standard solid colors. Look closely at the bottom near the wheels to confirm that specific trademark symbol.
Is this particular Nightburnerz release considered valuable today?+
Yes, because Super Treasure Hunt models were produced in very small quantities compared to regular Mainline cars. The limited supply combined with high demand from collectors searching for these special paint finishes usually makes them quite expensive when found loose or still sealed inside original packaging.
What are the specific color details on this 1/64 scale model?+
The car features a striking two-tone appearance using black Spectraflame paint for the main body while utilizing red plastic accents for parts like the front bumper. The interior colors vary slightly between dark gray and lighter tones, but the exterior remains consistent with its bold racing stripes.
