The story behind the 16 Angels
The 16 Angels Super Treasure Hunt from 2017 stands out as a true holiday icon for Hot Wheels fans. Released during the Holiday Racers series, this model captures the festive spirit with its flashy gold body and intricate green details. Designed by Nathan Proch under SKU DVC85, it is not just another standard issue car but a highly sought after collector gem. Super Treasure Hunts are known for their Spectraflame paint finishes which give them a deep glass-like shine that normal cars lack. Finding this specific diecast in the wild or at local stores was quite a challenge back in 2017 due to its limited production run and special status within the core lineup.
Materials, colors and value
This model features a metal base with impressive attention to finish quality typical of premium releases. The exterior boasts a vibrant chrome gold color that catches light beautifully while contrasting perfectly against bright red window tints. Inside you will notice green interior accents adding subtle depth behind those transparent windows. Collectors highly value this piece because Super Treasure Hunts often appreciate over time thanks to their exclusivity and superior build quality compared to regular mainline variants released around the same period.
Questions about the 16 Angels
How can I tell if my 16 Angels is a real Super Treasure Hunt?+
Check closely at the base of your diecast car. Authentic Super Treasure Hunts always have a small flame logo printed near where it meets any packaging card they might come with along with unique Spectraflame paint jobs that shimmer differently under various lighting conditions compared to standard metallic finishes found on regular mainline models.
What makes the 2017 Holiday Racers series special for collectors?+
The 2017 Holiday Racers lineup featured several exclusive designs meant specifically for season themed collecting events held throughout malls and retail locations nationwide. These limited runs included multiple Super Treasure Hunt selections like this one which are much harder to find today compared to regular mass produced vehicles released during other times of year.
Is the 16 Angels considered a valuable Hot Wheels car now?+
Yes many collectors view this particular Super Treasure Hunt as quite desirable due both its striking visual appeal combined with inherent rarity associated only with special edition releases from that specific holiday event several years ago making well preserved examples worth significantly more than typical store bought finds currently available.
