The story behind the '10 Pro Stock Camaro
The '10 Pro Stock Camaro from 2016 stands out as a true grail model for diecast fans. It belongs to the HW Mild to Wild series and holds the special status of Super Treasure Hunt. This means it is one of the hardest Hot Wheels cars to track down in standard packs. The car features a deep Spectraflame Purple body that shines with an oily, liquid look typical of these rare releases. Designer Jun Imai created this version for collectors who want premium details on a pro stock drag racer. With SKU DHT78 marking its production identity, the model captures high-octane speed in 1/64 scale.
Materials, colors and value
Collectors prize this specific release because of the unique Spectraflame finish applied to the plastic body shell. The paint job includes bold yellow flame graphics and a white hood scoop that adds contrast against the dark purple base material. Clear windows show off detailed white interior parts inside the cockpit area. Yellow elements on the base complement the wheels nicely without overpowering the main color scheme. Since it is part of an exclusive series, market value tends to be higher than regular Mainline models due to low availability and strong demand among serious diecast hobbyists.
Questions about the '10 Pro Stock Camaro
How do I know if my '10 Pro Stock Camaro is a Super Treasure Hunt?+
Look for the distinctive Spectraflame Purple paint job which has a glossy, oily sheen different from standard plastic colors. You should also see a small flame logo sticker on one of the side windows. The yellow base and wheel rims match perfectly with this specific 2016 HW Mild to Wild release pattern.
Is the '10 Pro Stock Camaro Super Treasure Hunt valuable today?+
Yes, it usually commands a premium price because these models were produced in very limited quantities compared to standard Mainline cars. Condition matters greatly for value since the special paint finish can scratch easily. Well-preserved copies with original packaging often sell significantly higher than loose examples.
How rare is the 2016 HW Mild to Wild Super Treasure Hunt?+
It is considered extremely rare among Hot Wheels releases since Super Treasure Hunts appear only once per year in a few specific assortments. Finding this particular Camaro requires patience or luck at large events and conventions where sealed cases might still be available for purchase.
