The story behind the '49 Ford F1
The 2021 '49 Ford F1 stands out as a true Super Treasure Hunt model from the HW Hot Trucks series. Designed by Jun Imai under SKU GTD03, this version is highly sought after due to its limited availability and distinct styling. While regular mainline trucks appear frequently on shelves, this specific release features Spectraflame Purple paint that catches the light beautifully. Collectors look for these special editions because they are much rarer than standard models released in 2021. The classic truck design gets a custom hot rod treatment with detailed flame decals covering the hood and sides. This unique combination of vintage appeal and modern collectible status makes it a prized find.
Materials, colors and value
This model arrives at a precise 1/64 scale, matching standard Hot Wheels dimensions perfectly for display purposes. The construction features a plastic base material that supports the vibrant Spectraflame Purple body paint found on this Super Treasure Hunt variant. Inside the cab, you will spot tan and beige interior details visible through clear windows. The exterior is further highlighted by silver chrome accents on the front bumper and grille area to give it authentic presence. Because of its special STH status, this truck holds significant value among enthusiasts who track down rare variants.
Questions about the '49 Ford F1
How can I identify if my '49 Ford F1 is a Super Treasure Hunt?+
The easiest way to spot this version is the unique Spectraflame Purple paint on the body. This special finish has a distinct texture and sheen compared to regular plastic paints. Look closely at the door area for a small flame logo printed near the bottom edge, which officially marks it as a limited Super Treasure Hunt release.
Is this 2021 truck model considered rare or common?+
It is definitely on the rarer side since Super Treasure Hints are produced in much smaller quantities than standard mainline cars. Finding one new and unopened can be difficult because many collectors buy them quickly when they appear at stores, making them a special item.
What makes this specific '49 Ford F1 design unique compared to others?+
This model features custom flame graphics across the hood and bed that set it apart from plain color versions. The Spectraflame paint adds a premium feel, while the tan interior provides nice contrast against the purple body. It captures classic hot truck culture perfectly in 1/64 scale.
