The story behind the Shark Bite
The Shark Bite brings a playful twist to street racing with its unique aquatic design. Released in 2023 as part of the HW City series within 5-Packs, this model stands out for its creative styling rather than traditional automotive lines. Designed by Larry Wood under SKU HH022, it captures attention immediately thanks to its aggressive shark-inspired front end and dorsal fin roofline. The car features bold blue tribal-style graphics that contrast nicely against the white body. While found in multi-packs where variety is key for young collectors, this specific design has earned a spot as a favorite due to its distinct personality among the standard lineup.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast model comes at a precise 1/64 scale and uses plastic components for both the main chassis base and the shark-shaped body. Collectors typically find it in white or off-white variations, sometimes with a pearl finish on the shell. The bases vary between blue and light blue shades to complement the overall theme. It features large orange wheels that give it a sporty look despite its unusual shape. As a standard retail release found inside 5-Packs, it holds modest value compared to rare limited editions but serves as an excellent entry point for building themed sets or trading duplicates.
