The story behind the 1987 Toyota Pickup Truck
The 1987 Toyota Pickup Truck brings a serious amount of off-road attitude to your collection with its bold lifted suspension design. Released in 2023 as part of the Entertainment assortment, this model captures the rugged spirit of modified trucks found in many pop culture movies and video games. It belongs specifically to the Replica Entertainment Mix 1 series, which highlights vehicles from famous media franchises rather than just standard road cars. Designed by Jun Imai and Manson Cheung, the casting features a high clearance stance that immediately stands out on any shelf. While this is not a rare Treasure Hunt release, it offers excellent detailing for fans of modified truck culture.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast model sits at the standard 1/64 scale found in most retail boxes. The body construction uses metal to give the vehicle solid weight and durability during play or display. Visuals are dominated by a deep black color scheme that covers both the exterior paint and interior components. You will see glossy finishes on the main panels alongside matte textures for specific accents like the base. The clear windows provide transparency without distracting from the overall dark theme. For collectors looking to complete their Entertainment series set, this all-black variant serves as a sleek addition.
Questions about the 1987 Toyota Pickup Truck
Is the 1987 Toyota Pickup Truck Hot Wheels car rare?+
This model is not considered extremely rare. It was released as part of the general Entertainment assortment in 2023, meaning it had a standard production run for that year. Unlike Super Treasure Hunts or Chase variants, you will not find special Spectraflame paint on this version.
What movie does the black Toyota Pickup Truck represent?+
The car is part of the Replica Entertainment Mix 1 series, which celebrates pop culture vehicles broadly. While it resembles trucks from various action movies and video games released around that era, this specific casting serves as a general tribute to modified entertainment media rather than one single film.
How do I identify the authentic 2023 Replica version?+
Look for the SKU number HKC20 printed on the packaging or base. The car itself features a distinctive black body with clear windows and large off-road tires labeled Goodyear Wrangler. It also has yellow light bar details mounted above the windshield.
