The story behind the '64 Lincoln Continental
The '64 Lincoln Continental captures a bold side of American automotive history through a modern diecast lens. Released in 2023 as part of the Mainline assortment, this model belongs to the HW Slammed series which focuses on lowrider and custom car culture. Designed by Jun Imai, the toy translates the original full-size sedan into a 1/64 scale piece that sits close to the ground with exaggerated styling cues. The body features a deep Metalflake Magenta finish that shifts in tone depending on how light hits it, giving the classic lines a contemporary flair. Because this is part of the core retail series rather than a limited chase variant, it is widely available and accessible for new collectors who want to explore custom car themes without spending a lot of money.
