The story behind the Lotus Evija
The Lotus Evija stands as a stunning example of modern electric hypercar design brought into diecast form for Hot Wheels collectors in 2023. Designed by Fraser Campbell under SKU HKL13, this model represents the high-performance capabilities of its real-world counterpart through dramatic styling and aggressive curves. It belongs to the HW Green Speed series but reaches far beyond standard Mainline expectations due to its Super Treasure Hunt status. This special classification means it is incredibly rare and highly sought after by enthusiasts looking for exclusive pieces rather than common retail finds.
Materials, colors and value
This 1/64 scale model features a plastic base construction designed specifically with Spectraflame Atomic Red paint on the body, giving it that shimmering metallic finish Super Treasure Hunts are known for. The interior and window frames remain black to match the sleek real car aesthetic while silver multi-spoke wheels add contrast against the vibrant red exterior. Because these limited edition releases contain special finishes like this unique Spectraflame coat, they tend to hold significant value among serious collectors who prioritize original condition packaging.
Questions about the Lotus Evija
How can I identify a genuine Super Treasure Hunt Lotus Evija?+
Look closely at the bottom of the car base for a small flame logo printed directly on it. This specific model also features distinctive Spectraflame Atomic Red paint which shimmers differently than standard gloss colors. The packaging usually highlights its special status too.
What makes the Super Treasure Hunt version worth more?+
These models are produced in extremely limited quantities compared to regular Mainline cars found on store shelves every day. Their unique Spectraflame finishes make them stand out visually while their scarcity drives up demand from dedicated collectors seeking rare additions.
Is this model part of the main retail collection?+
While technically released within the 2023 Mainline assortment schedule, its Super Treasure Hunt rarity separates it entirely from standard releases. You will not find these hiding randomly in blind bags alongside common cars since they represent an ultra-exclusive tier designed only for lucky shoppers or dedicated hunters.
