The story behind the Anakin Skywalker
The Anakin Skywalker model from Hot Wheels brings a piece of Star Wars history into your diecast collection in 2024. Part of the Character Cars assortment within the Star Wars series, this unique release translates the iconic character into vehicle form through imaginative design work by Dwayne Vance. Instead of a traditional sports car body, you get a stylized interpretation that captures the essence of Anakin using automotive shapes and textures. The 1/64 scale model features distinctive blue racing stripes across an unpainted silver finish to mimic his podracer suit from the films. This creative approach appeals to fans who enjoy seeing their favorite characters reimagined as rolling toys.
Materials, colors and value
This specific diecast casting relies on plastic materials for its construction rather than metal, which is common for many character-themed vehicles in this line. The body showcases an unpainted ZAMAC look with blue stripe details and subtle weathering effects to suggest wear from racing action across the galaxy. It sits atop a bright orange base that provides strong visual contrast against the silver upper sections. Yellow tinted windows complete the cockpit area while adding warmth to the overall color palette defined by SKU HTR97.
