The story behind the '69 COPO Corvette
The '69 COPO Corvette from 2024 represents a very exclusive piece in Hot Wheels history because it was released only for the 38th Annual Collectors Convention in the USA. Designed by Phil Riehlman, this model is not something you will find on standard store shelves or at local hobby shops. The car honors the legendary racing heritage of the COPO models while celebrating a major milestone event for the brand. With its unique convention-only status and distinctive styling, it stands out as a special commemorative release rather than a regular collector series item.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast model features a solid metal base with a Spectraflame black body finish that gives it a premium look typical of high-end releases. The car sports detailed white racing stripes along the sides and hood, accented by red flames on the door area. It includes clear windows, an unpainted ZAMAC interior, and silver-colored wheels to match its classic aesthetic. Because convention exclusives are produced in very limited quantities just for attendees, they often hold strong value among serious collectors looking to complete their specific year sets.
