The story behind the '70 Dodge Charger
The Tooned series has always been a fan favorite for its playful twist on classic muscle cars. This specific '70 Dodge Charger from the 2024 Mainline release takes that familiar cartoonish shape and dresses it in serious street racer colors. Designed by Fraser Campbell, this model features a sleek black body that contrasts sharply with the exposed chrome engine sitting right out of the hood. While Tooned models are often bright and loud, this version brings a darker attitude to the 2024 lineup. It captures the spirit of muscle car culture in an exaggerated form. As part of the core Mainline assortment, it is a solid addition for fans who enjoy unique designs.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast model comes at the standard 1/64 scale and uses a plastic base material to keep its weight down while maintaining detailed styling cues like the chrome interior. The exterior finish highlights a glossy black paint job paired with silver five-spoke wheels that give it plenty of street presence. Collectors will notice variations in window tinting, ranging from smoke to gray depending on the specific manufacturing run. Being part of the general Mainline release means this car is widely available for casual collectors and seasoned enthusiasts alike.
Questions about the '70 Dodge Charger
Is the Tooned '70 Dodge Charger a rare Treasure Hunt?+
No, this model was released as a standard part of the Mainline series in 2024. It does not carry the special flame logo associated with Treasure Hunts or Super Treasure Hunts. This means it is produced in higher quantities and remains much easier to find on store shelves compared to those limited editions.
What colors are available for this specific car?+
This release features a black body color with chrome interior details. The windows may appear as smoke, tinted gray, or clear depending on the variation you find in the pack. The base is painted black to match the overall dark theme of the exterior paint.
How valuable is this car for collectors?+
Since it is a common Mainline model without limited edition status, its value stays relatively low and close to retail price. It serves as an affordable way to enjoy the Tooned design style. While some collectors may pay slightly more for unopened blister packs in perfect condition, individual loose cars generally hold steady monetary worth.
