The story behind the Time Tracker
The Time Tracker adds a high-speed racing vibe to any Hot Wheels collection with its futuristic design and detailed graphics. Released in 2024 as part of the Mystery Models Series 1, this car captures the excitement of track-day culture through sleek lines and vibrant decals. Designed by Leeway Chang, it features a bold gray body accented with yellow windows that give it an aggressive look under light. Its mystery model status makes each discovery feel like finding treasure among regular releases. Collectors love how these limited runs create unique opportunities for variety without breaking the bank.
Materials, colors and value
This diecast vehicle is built on a sturdy metal base and comes in two shades of gray bodies with contrasting chrome interiors and bright yellow windows. The black plastic wheels complement its sporty aesthetic while keeping weight balanced for smooth play or display purposes. Standing at 1/64 scale, it fits perfectly alongside other Hot Wheels favorites yet stands out due to its distinctive color scheme and intricate detailing. While values vary depending on condition and demand, early adopters often see their collections grow over time thanks to scarcity.
Questions about the Time Tracker
Is the Time Tracker still available for purchase?+
Availability depends heavily on stock levels since it was part of a limited run in 2024. Check online retailers or local stores frequently as restocks may occur occasionally but remain unpredictable.
How do I know if my Time Tracker is authentic?+
Look closely at packaging labels for correct SKU numbers matching HVW28 along with official branding elements such as logos printed clearly without smudges or misalignments which could indicate counterfeits.
What makes Mystery Models different from standard Hot Wheels?+
Mystery models are special subsets released intermittently featuring exclusive designs not found elsewhere making them more sought after compared to typical yearly offerings aimed primarily toward casual buyers rather than dedicated enthusiasts seeking rare finds.
